Mike Antheil
Executive Director
Mike Antheil is the Executive Director of the Florida Alliance for Renewable Energy (FARE), a group dedicated to achieving rapid, widespread deployment of renewable energy for the  State of Florida. His efforts include educating and engaging Floridians including legislators and policy makers, businesses both large and small, coalition partners, and individual residents all across Florida. In addition to his role with FARE, Mike is a managing partner at Green Asset Finance, LLC specializing in commercial finance in the renewable energy industry. Mike earned two Bachelor Degrees from Jacksonville University in Sociology and Geography, while playing 4 years of football. Mike started in the financial industry at a small boutique advisory firm in 2002 and quickly worked his way to running a highly regarded Business Consultancy practice at a Fortune 500 Advisory Firm. During his career he has specialized in commercial lending, structured finance, and capital raise efforts for some of the fasting growing companies in the efficient and renewable energy space. Mike is currently involved in several charitable organizations, with his primary goal being to help create and stimulate a renewable energy market in Florida.



Peter Laughlin
FARE President
Principal, Ecotechnologies
Peter is co-founder of EcoTechnologies, a Sarasota company using innovative technologies that harvest renewable resources to meet the challenges of energy supply, water supply, indoor air quality and environmental performance.Originally from Trinidad, Laughlin has more than 35 years of experience in the real estate industry on both a local and international level and has been involved in the development, construction, marketing and promotion of single family homes and resort properties in Sarasota, the Caribbean and Europe.


Ed Strobel
FARE Vice-President
President, Sunshine Solar Services, Inc.
He received his BS Electrical Engineering from Tulane University and a MBA Finance and Marketing at Georgia State/ University of Miami. NABCEP certified installer, Florida Solar Contractor CVC-56730. For the last 26 years running growth technology businesses. He has held various managerial positions at Dell Computer, EMC, Hewlett-Packard, Sun Microsystems, and startups. Has a lifetime of energy experience dating back to the 1970’s energy crisis. Co-developer of 3 MW of wind in Illinois, adding 5MW in 2011. Solar grid-tie, off-grid and grid-tie battery backed projects throughout Florida, Illinois, the Bahamas and the Caribbean.


Michael Jacobazzi
President/CEO, Roofing Concepts Unlimited – Florida, Inc. 
Currently he is President/CEO of Roofing Concepts Unlimited – Florida, Inc. and Roof Doctors South Florida, Inc. which are both located in Coral Springs, Florida. Previously he was the Operations Manager at Roofing Concepts Unlimited in Chicago, Illinois. He received a degree at the University Of Illinois Chicago Campus in undergraduate studies. He currently holds Florida State Certified Roofing Contractor License # CCC 036963 & 1325784 and is currently working to obtain Florida CVC (Solar Contractor). He also holds a private pilot SEL-Instrument rated license. Is a member of several professional associations including: NRCA, FRSA, BOMA, and Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce.

   

Haseeb Quadri
President, Novasol Energy

Haseeb Qadri is a successful serial entrepreneur who has broad business development experience in infotech, healthcare consultation, financial services, venture capital, and non-profit sectors. Haseeb started his financial services company, H & H Equities LLC, catering to the market needs of hedge funds and independent money managers. Under his leadership, H & H Equities produced revenues of over $1 Million and achieved profitability within its first year. His firm went on to partner with E*Trade Professional, a subsidiary of E*Trade Financial. Prior to starting H & H Equities, Haseeb was a money manager and mentored groups of traders at a small boutique firm. He has also advised private individuals on technology, biotechnology, and healthcare industry trends and opportunities for investments.

Preceding his financial services trek, Haseeb started Infinity Computer Technologies (ICT) which provided solutions for educational, healthcare facilities, and mid-sized businesses for their infotech needs. Haseeb majored in Computer Science at the University of Central Florida (UCF), with an interest in AI and network topologies, and minored in International Relations at the prestigious Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. He is also fluent in Urdu (major dialect in India and Pakistan). Haseeb was recently been awarded the Excellence in Entrepreneurship certificate from the University of Central Florida’s Technology Incubator. Mr. Qadri is the CEO and Founder of NovaSol Energy. NovaSol Energy provides renewable energy solutions for large-scale commercial customers and utilities.


    Don Davis
President, Capital City Bank of Gainesville
Following graduation from the University of Florida, Don began his banking career in 1985 in Gainesville with Barnett Bank. He is currently President, Capital City Bank’s Gainesville Market. His interest in turn-of-the century phosphate mining and local history led him to terms as President of The Newberry Area Chamber of Commerce, Friends of Dudley Farm, Matheson Museum, and The Alachua Press. Don is a graduate of Leadership Gainesville and Leadership Florida. He is a Past Captain of the Gainesville Quarterback Club and currently serves as Treasurer of the Florida Track Club. Don is a 1981 graduate of Gainesville Regional Utility’s Volunteer Energy Auditor Class and he once built his own solar hot water heater. He worked with Gainesville Regional Utilities on the language in their power purchase agreement and became one of the first residential users to install solar PV and sell power under GRU’s historic Feed-In-Tariff Incentive plan. Don specializes in financing green energy-efficiency projects including residential and commercial solar pv systems. He also established the Going Green Council, an email group which shares information with business owners and individuals involved in some aspect of green construction. Don and his wife, Sandy, a physical therapist at the Veteran’s Hospital in Gainesville, have a daughter, Noel, who is married to Tripp Miller and lives in Jacksonville, Florida.

    Dr. Roger Messenger

Retired from Florida Atlantic University Department of Electrical Engineering after 36 years service as Research Associate, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor including 11 years of academic administration. Lifetime of energy experience dating back to the 1970’s energy crisis. Co-author of Photovoltaic Systems Engineering, 3rd Edition, CRC Press, Boca Raton, FL  2010. Design of Solar grid-tie, off-grid and grid-tie battery backed projects throughout Florida, the Bahamas and the Caribbean. Conducted numerous training sessions in PV system design, installation and inspection over the past 4 years.

    Eunice Hamblen

Eunice earned her BA Psychology Degree at Stetson University in 1972 and worked with the State of Florida Youth Services for eight years. She returned to school at Florida State University where she earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work with an emphasis in Research and Evaluation.  As such she worked at the South Florida State Mental Hospital as a program evaluator for two years before switching careers to technology sales at BellSouth.  She spent the next twenty three years as an account manager of Fortune 500 companies bringing in as much as 12 million in revenue each year.  During this time she earned her Master’s Degree in Business from Nova- Southeastern  University . 

She is currently retired from BellSouth/ATT and serving as President of Soroptimist International of Pompano Beach a local service club, as well as Board Member and Education Chair of FARE.

    Wayne Wallace
Owner and CEO,
Solar Source and Solar Source Institute
Wayne Wallace is the founder and President of both Solar Source and Solar Source Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Renewable Energy Engineering Technology from the Jordan Energy Institute in Michigan and is familiar with all aspects of the businesses from marketing to installations and service. He has personally installed over two hundred solar domestic hot water systems, twenty PV (Photovoltaic) systems, and over four hundred solar pool heaters. Wayne received his solar PV grid connection certification in 1999 from the FSEC (Florida Solar Energy Center) and he is a member of FSPA (Florida Swimming Pool Association) and FlaSEIA (Florida Solar Energy Industries Association). In 1996 Solar Source was awarded a grant which was aimed at reducing swimming pool energy costs (RSPEC). Wayne has lead the way for his team on several remarkable installations including the largest solar pool heating system in the State and the largest roof top photovoltaic system in the Southeast US. He has overseen award winning projects in Michigan, Atlanta, Key West, and the Cayman Islands and the Orange County Convention Center Megawatt project just to name a few.


    Alex Rivera
Vice President, Vanguard Energy Partners
As a partner at Vanguard, Mr. Rivera excels at the development of new, renewable energy markets within the Caribbean and the U.S. His commitment to policy as the driving force toward the proliferation of clean energy generation has contributed to Vanguard’s success in the Northeastern U.S. and the entrance into the Caribbean markets. Years of executive management experience have influenced his business development strategies of sustainable growth during challenging business cycles. This facilitates Vanguard’s success during these early years of the renewable energy industry. His participation within the renewable sector covers areas from construction services and business development to policy research. Alex Rivera’s commitment to the emerging renewable energy market has brought him to participate in the following organizations: Noveda Technologies, The New Jersey Alliance for Action Energy Committee, The Solar Energy Industry Association and The Florida Alliance for Renewable Energy.org Steering Committee. Mr. Rivera is part of the team involved with the First Net Zero Electric Commercial Site in the U.S. (Ferreira Construction) and its top achievement received from the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities as the “2007 Market Innovator of the Year.” He earned a bachelor’s degree of International Studies at the University of South Florida in 1986.


Monica Kennedy
President, Elite Solar Services
Monica Kennedy is the President of Elite Solar Services – a Florida based renewable energy integrator with 25 years of construction management and design experience. Elite Solar Services helps both residential and commercial clients through designing, integrating and installing high quality solar components that take full advantage of the latest technology, rebates, and installation methods. Our systems are designed and engineered to supply the most energy production possible with the latest in monitoring and maintenance to ensure performance and long-term results for our customers. Since it’s important to take power off the grid first, Elite Solar offers the best in conservation products and consulting services. Monica, LEED AP, serves as the communication chair for the Myakka Branch of the U.S. Green Building Council and serves on the board of directors of the Florida Alliance for Renewable Energy and the Association of Solar Contractors. Elite Solar is also a member of the Home Builders Association, Gulf Coast Builders Exchange, Association of Building Contractors, Florida Green Building Coalition and Florida Solar Energy Industry Association. Monica’s finance degree, experience as an investment broker, corporate controller and comedienne will help usher in clean energy in the Sunshine State. FL Solar Contractor CVC #56772.

   

Faye Roller
FARE Administrative Director

Faye is the direct assistant to the President and Business Development Manager at Solar Source, the state’s largest solar contracting company established in 1984. She administers the companies training arm, Solar Source Institute (SSI). SSI is the state’s first onsite training facility for solar and its’ locations are growing at a rapid rate. As Business Development Administrator she aides in various areas including, but not limited to, dealer development, social media development, trade show coordination, and assisting with opening new offices. Currently she is part of the Solar Source Canada development team, dedicated to spearheading the opening and operations for their new location in Canada. Thanks to Canada adopting the feed-in-tariff SSC is anticipated to open in the very near future. Faye has been actively involved with the Florida Alliance for Renewable Energy (FARE) from day one and serves as the Administrative Director. As a renewable and solar energy policy advocate she has aided in coordinating various conferences, summits, town halls, and roundtable events. Prior to moving to the Sunshine State she attended Browne Mackie College in Canton, Ohio for Business Management.
